Make the ragù a day ahead: it's even better.

Instructions
1.Warm the oil and gently fry the onion, carrot and celery until soft.
2.Add the garlic and the meat, and brown it well, breaking it up.
3.Pour in the wine and let it bubble away.

Questions, answered
How do I make my own recipe book?
Create a free account on CookNest Books, give your book a name and add your recipes: dictate them, photograph a handwritten card or type them. Then choose the cover, sections, blank pages and a dedication, preview every page and order it printed.
How much does a printed recipe book cost?
A paperback starts at €19.95 with 30 recipes included, and each extra recipe adds €0.30. Hardcover adds €6.95. Shipping is €4.95. Designing the book and downloading its PDF are free.
How many recipes do I need?
A printed book needs at least 30 pages, and blank pages count too. So you can start with a few recipes and fill the rest with blank pages for the recipes to come.
Can I add handwritten family recipes?
Yes. Photograph the card or the notebook page, even across several photos, and we turn it into a clean recipe, copying exactly what's written. You can check and correct it before saving.
Can I see the book before ordering it?
Yes. When your book is ready you can leaf through every page and download it as a PDF. You can go back and change anything as often as you like before ordering.
What size is the book?
It's square, 21.6 × 21.6 cm (8.5 × 8.5 inches), printed in full color, in paperback or hardcover.
How long does delivery take?
We print and bind every book to order. It usually arrives in 9 to 12 business days, and we email you the tracking.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Everything works in your browser, on a computer or a phone. There's also a CookNest Books app, with the same account.
Can I order more copies later?
Yes. Your book stays saved in your account, so you can order another copy for someone else whenever you like.
Who can see my recipes?
Only you. Your recipes and books are private to your account.
